Aotea together with the Informatics group, Singapore, have successfully created and implemented a full exam system solution, which is a landmark product both for Aotea and the e-learning industry.
The system is expected to be ramped up, to meet the requirements of over 450,000 Informatics students worldwide.
We are both very excited about the new systems potential. It promises to deliver major productivity gains and could potentially redefine the way people see exams.

Aotea and Cambridge University have worked as a team, researching and developing interactive e-learning applications and online exam systems.
Our aim was to investigate the possibility of eliminating UCLES’ paper-based examinations and the implications of technology for the future of academic-testing. This culminated in the design and development of a (paper-less) computer-based, testing and marking examination and management system, with statistical reporting. The system embraced the new network technology, without compromising Cambridge University’s standards of excellence, while maintaining a very high level of security
Our collaborative efforts have enabled us to make great progress in the fields of e-learning and computer based testing, and we are excited that this research has now been passed through to development.
You can read about some of our finding's in a recently published Cambridge University paper.April 2002
